Patriots... Undefeated?

I feel the Patriots can be beaten and i think the Chargers and Giants could. I think they could be beaten because if their 16-0 they arebound to lose anytime. If the Chargers dont take themout this round then the Giants will beat the Packers and the Giants will then defeat the Patriots.

Hey guys. Took an extra couple days for me to get back to you. Meetings, blahblahblah. Let's get into last week's post.

I picked Acevedo's question because he mentioned two of the teams remaining in the playoffs, hence they both still technically have a chance to knock the Pats off.

However, I dont think it's gonna happen. If you can't stand New England (and I can't; I went to high school up there and I get phone calls every time they win another game), prepare yourself. The Pats are going 19-0.

I think they'll roll over San Diego, for reasons I mentioned in my last blog. I think on paper the Giants represent the toughest matchup for them, but they've played each other this season, which means Belicheck can gameplan to the point that Eli Manning will be traumatized for the rest of his life (He and Peyton can both say they've been victimized by Belicheck...).

That leaves Green Bay. I give them the best chance not because of any specific part of their team, but because everyone would be so riled up with talk of "can Brett Farve win another Super Bowl?" that they might benefit from enough favorable calls to pull off the upset. Refs read newspapers too, and if you saw last week's Colts-Chargers game, you know they're susceptible to multiple bad calls in one team's favor. Unfortunately, I just don't see that happening. I may not like them, but the Pats are human wrecking balls this year, and I can respect it.

...of course, if this post jinxes them in any way, so be it...

Anyway, thanks to all you guys for participating. Let's keep it going! Here's this week's question:

The NBA All-Star game is a few weeks away, and much of the talk around the league so far has been focused on the abundance of great young point guards. Chris Paul. Deron Williams. Tony Parker. My question to you guys is, who do you think is the best young point guard (25 and younger), and why? Also, which young point guard will end up being the best when their careers are all said and done? Same rules as last week: make a point and defend it.

I believe that Tony Parker is the Best point guard in the Nba because he has many titles and he also has a team that isnt to flashy but can give a good game against any team and that includes the Boston Celtics. With Tony Parker averaging about 20 poinst a game and 6.5 assists a game he is a dominant point guard in the NBA.

Also At theis Point in time there are only three teams that can stop the patriots in there tracks. These Teams are The GreenBay Packers,The New York Giants, and The San Diego Chargers. My Opinion is that with the Chargers injury problem it will be nearly impossible to win against the Undefeated. The Green Bay Packers are the most wanted to win against the Giants tomorrow and take the NFC championship and play aginst the Patriots for the NFL championship. If the Giants are albe to win aginst Brett Farve and Ryan Grant I am sure they are good enough to beat the Patriots In the Super Bowl.

I think that Chris Paul is the best point guard in the NBA. He is the full package. He has defense and to show that he is the leading staeler in the NBA. He is also a great team player, he shows that by making his team win and it shows because his team is second ranking in the western conference.

The point guard with the most potential is Raymond Felton. Felton has some of the best raw skills in the game. Felton loves to play afast paced game , this shows whe the 'Cats play the Suns. I feel that Felton is always overlooked because of the market he plays in. Kirk Hinrich should also get looked at as a potential guy. It also seems we forgot about Gilbert Arenas.
To answer the second question,I say that Parker will because of his success already and the skillhe has around him. Rajon Rondo might if the Celts' live up to their skill or Jameer Nelson if Dwight [Howard] does great.
The Mavericks are slowing down so it wont be [Devin] Harris.

some great answers so far, guys. mac, i would've disagreed with you last year if you said parker. he's always been a little too quick to shoot for my tastes, especially when he could be dumping it in to tim duncan instead. but results don't lie, and three titles are tough to argue against. i've learned to appreciate what he does on the court.

cris... your boy cp3 is incredible. you guys are too young to know what it was like watching isiah thomas play (unfortunately, you only get to judge him as a coach), but paul is a pretty close approximation. zeke's J was better, and he had championships of course, but paul is an absolute beast. did you see the game against miami a couple of weeks ago, when he didn't miss a shot AND had 15+ assists? Lol... guess who I think is the best young pg in the league?

quinn, good picks, even if i do have problems with each of the guys you mentioned.

felton is undeniably talented, but he reminds me of jamaal tinsley in that people always seem to talk more about his potential than his actuall production on the court. he's still really young though, not to mention he's lightning quick and an above-average passer, so we'll see.

hinrich is overrated imo, and has been for some time. he's an above average defender, but he isn't very creative as a playmaker. very straightforward. why is that an issue? well, when his shot isn't falling (and it hasn't been for much of the year), he's very easy to shut down, making it that much harder for the bulls to run offensive sets.

gilbert's hurt, and more of a shoot-first point guard anyway. i think he has a chance to go down as one of the game's great players, but i emphasize "player." he's not a true point guard, imo. could he be a playmaker like paul, deron williams and others? i think so. but he doesn't.
