The homework for tomorrow is to write a simple 5-7 sentence recap from the 11th innning of the Cleveland-Boston game on Saturday night (when Cleveland scored seven runs). Use your notes from class today.

Former dominate closer Eric Gagne comes in to a tied ball game, in the top of the eleventh inning.He strook out Casey Blake to start what looked liked a game to catapault the Red Sox into a two game lead. Next up was outstanding center fielder Grady Sizemore who hit a single to right. Gagne followed with a walk to Asdrubal Cabrera. Fan favorite Trot Nixon pinch hits for Travis Hafner as the Sox changed pitchers and he hit an RBI single to center. A wild pitch scored in another run. an intentional walk set up Ryan Garko who drove in arun. Lester came in and gave up a three run shot to Franklin Gutierez. Blake strikes out again to end the inning. Final score was 13-6 in favor to the Cleveland Indians.

Eric Gagne enters a tied ballgame in the eleventh inning. He is the closer for the Boston Red Sox. Gagne faced the first batter of the inning Casey Blake, who is last in the lineup, and struck him out for the first out of the inning. Then Grady Sizemore comes up to the plate. Gagne goes 0-0 and Sizemore hits a line single towards right center. Then Cabrera steps up to theplate and Gagne goes 3-1 with one out and walks him. Then they make a pitching change for Javier Lopez. Then former Red Sox, Trot Nixon, Steps up. Lopez goes 1-0 against Nixon then Nixon hits an RBI single to score Sizemore and take the lead in the game and later more runs score. Indians go on to beat the Red Sox.
Well in the 11th inning the game was tied 6-6. Then at the top of the inning Grady Seizmore hit a single. Then A.Cabrera forced a walk 2 hav 2 people on base. Then Trot Nixon came up and hit a bloop single and brang home seizmore and cabrera. The cleveland Indians won the game 13-6.

Eric Gagne had the pleasure of entering a tied ball game of 6-6 in the 11th inning having to face an intimidating line up to try and snag a win for the RedSox against the Indians. He had successfully struck out Casey Blake...but that was his 15 seconds of fame unfortunately. Sizemore comes up next to blast a single, after this Gagne walks Cabrera. Now Nixon comes in to pinch hit as the pitcher was switched and knocks one to center earning him an RBI. More catastrophe only followed a sa wild pitch allowed for another run...then an intentional walk... Garko then leads in another run scored. Now that the pitcher was changed again...up comes Gutierez who blasts a 3 run bomber. A shattering defeat for the RedSox losing 13-6 in the 11th.

October 15's playoff game had been won by the Rockies. The Colorado Rockies had played a spectacular game. Pitching speeds up to 99 mph, the Rockies "rocked" the competition. The D-Backs had a chance to tie it up, but in the end the Rockies were too good.
