For Thursday: If you were running a major college basketball team, would you give up a position on your roster to keep a star player happy? Would you give up that position if it helped you sell merchandise? (4-7 sentences).

No I wouldnt change my roster to let a star player play and be happy. I wouldnt because every player must be treated fairly and get an equal amount of playing time. The player should be happy for the team and how the team is playing.
I would not give a postion to a star player espically if they dont know how to play. It dont matter if they are a star because if they are a star why do they want more fame thats not right.

No I would not let a star which in this case a celebrity who loves basketball just to keep him happy if hed oesnt know how to play. Also if he is injured I would definelty not even let him start the game because he might cause the team some turnovers because the injury.

Mackenzie Way -- What I would do is pick what ever is good for the team. Giving up someone elses position to make the star player happy.....he doesn't have to play......As the coach my position is to do what ever it takes to win....other players are capable of doing what the star player is no longer able to do because he's not playing.....That's the change in the roster I would make.

SOmetimes in sports...moral is not as important as winning. I would not give an undeserving player a scholarship... but if it comes to the point where my star player is the support for the team and he is threatening to leave...then drastic measures must be taken. Even though it is the wrong thing to do and is looked down upon, there is always a reason for most of these actions.
