The qoute stated by Jackie Robinson
is that in the time when Jackie played baseball their was alot of racism. Also he was the first black man to play baseball. When he played, people would throw stuff at him and on the field. He didnt care that they didnt like him but he wanted them to atleast respect him on the field and not make rasist remarks to him.

The quotation show how Jackie robinson being the first black man to play in the majors had to go through. He was playing around the time of rasicm so for him to be respect and not liked is a start for him to be liked.
He does not care if you like him or not. Simply have the sense to treat him like another human being. Especially in his lifetime when he broke the clor barrier, people hated him for being himself.... Black
This quote by jackie robinsonn is mostly because of racism. Jackie robinson is meaning that weather he is black or not, he is still a baseball player. He is trying to prove that every baseball player should be treated the samee with respect.

This quote by Jackie Robinson means that beacuse of his skin color and what era he is in many people dont like him. Mainly because mainly he is black. All Jackie Robinson want is respect for him, since he is going through all the segregation that he is going through.

Jackie Robinson's Quote means that people may not like him because of his skin color but they should give him respect because he is human. During Robinson's time, there was a lot of racism. People can dislike or like others because of their skin. Respect is based on the actions of a person; whether it is good or bad. Robinson has gained respect, though not willingly, from many people for being an Afrcan American playing baseball.
